ABOUT

This special workshop focuses on embracing your authenticity, being yourself and accepting that you are enough!

Using improv techniques - some from the originators of the craft, this workshop is all about being ALL of you. Taught by Improv Connection Founder, Ben Zolno, this workshop is a one-off koha offering following his RNZ interview on Saturday, January 14th and a perfect way to start the year with a boost to your spontaneous, authentic self!

About the teacher:

Ben Zolno has 18 years of improv experience, starting with training at Second City and UCB New York, as well as training and performing at IO Chicago. He performs in Wellington with improv duo Doom & Bloom, The Improvisors, and The B Team.  Ben's passion lies in discovering the hidden genius of each player, and watching the magic journeys improv provides players and audiences alike.

About the workshop:

Where: This workshop is held in the Community Room, Toi Pōneke.

61/69 Abel Smith Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand

When: 12:45pm - 3pm. Feel free to arrive from 12:30pm. Ben will be in the foyer greeting everyone and helping you get settled in to the space.

What do I need to bring?: Yourself! Along with your water bottle, koha payment and any snacks you might need. Please wear clothes and shoes that you feel comfortable moving around in. We encourage the use of masks and advise you to stay home if you are feeling sick.

What is the cost?: We are able to generously offer this workshop on a koha basis! If you're able to donate for the experience and to cover the cost of Ben's time and the venue space, that would be much appreciated. You can bring cash or bank transfer on the day.

Can I bring a friend?: Absolutely! The more the merrier!

I can't make it, will there be others?: Unfortunately, this particular workshop is a one-off, however, if you're interested in improv and the authentic work we do, we have a koha Taster Class on Saturday, January 28th and registrations are now open for our Fundamentals of Improv 8-week course.
