Performance Program - Term 2

Ready to launch onto the stage?  Hone and share your growing talents? Term 2 will feature an extra 2 weeks of classes AND an extra THREE 'Funny 'Cause It's True Shows at The Pow Wow Room! All up - 9 weeks, and 6 shows for the program! 

If you're continuing on from the Term One Performance Program: If the majority of your troupe continues on from Term One, you will likely stay in the same troupe formation and with the same coach as Term One with the addition of new players. If the majority of your troupe does not continue, you may be assigned to a new troupe/coach or have additional players join your current troupe. We are constantly honing, to benefit you and your troupe. 

If you've graduated from Fundamentals One: You will continue building on the awesome bonds formed last term and continue adding further skills to your improv toolkit by joining a troupe consisting largely of your fellow Fundamentals classmates! You will form a troupe, be assigned a unique coach to assist you with teaching, training, and building on your prior learnings for upcoming performance dates at The Pow Wow Room.  This involves learning our ABC Method, which is a road map for successful scenes virtually every time.

If you're an alumni joining the Performance Program for the first time: Based on your level of past experience, we will find the right troupe for you in one of the pre-existing troupes or a newly formed one. You will continue to build on your previous improv knowledge with a designated coach, who will have you building the bonds to make the troupe your own and get you up on stage for the performance dates at The Pow Wow Room. 

In addition to Monday night coaching, Performance Program improvisers will also get access to Sunday Night JAMS, at no additional cost!

Performance Program Players include the following benefits:

- Your own troupe slated through until the beginning of June 

- 21 hours of coaching with a unique coach (Malcolm Morrison, Austin Harrison, Nicola Pauling, or Brendan West), in troupes half the size of a standard 12-person class

- Two performances (at least!) at The Pow Wow Room, along with 4 onsite rehearsals

- Photos from your performance at The Pow Wow Room

- Unlimited access to 6 Sunday night jams at The Pow Wow Room

- $5 entry to Improv Connection Showcases and Funny 'Cause It's True Shows at The Pow Wow Room

- Invites to any end of term festivities and community events

- 100% of the show profits after half the full-price seats are filled (if all 50 seats are fillable under Covid rules)

Additional Sunday Dress Rehearsal:

Once troupes have been allocated, you will have an additional 45 minutes on the performance stage either Sunday 24th April, Sunday 1st May, Sunday 8th May, Sunday 22nd May, Sunday 29th May, or Sunday 5th June, depending on which Funny ‘Cause It’s True show date your troupe will be performing.

1. We may not be able to accommodate everyone in the program – schedules, skills level, chemistry match, and/or other factors may not be possible for the number of coaches we have.  If we ultimately determine we cannot accommodate you in this program, you will be immediately refunded, and receive a call from us about the next steps for how to continue your progress.

2. The Google signup form after you sign up here is due 24 hours after signup. It should take just a few minutes. Note your application is not final until you fill out this form. 

3. As Austin says, it's important you're there for the vast majority of coaching sessions, to build that chemistry, otherwise, when you go up, it won't feel like "your" show.  If you feel you can't commit to 70% or more of the rehearsals, the Jams may be more appropriate for you.

3. If you can't afford this program at the listed price, or need a payment schedule, Choose "Other Arrangement" on the ticket page, and please contact us to discuss price, payment timing, or work trade.  We will do our best not to turn anyone away over lack of funds.

4. If Covid makes meeting in person difficult, classes and performances will instead be replaced by online sessions/shows.
