04 Oct 2021, 5:45 pm NZDT – 29 Nov 2021, 8:45 pm NZDT

Wellington, 12 King Street, Mount Cook, Wellington 6021, New Zealand

NOTE: No matter the Covid level, the Workouts are definitely on. If we can't meet in person, we do it online. While in-person and online are different, the connections, sponteneity and fun still grow from class to class.

The Heart of It

Now that we know the basics, Fundamentals 2 session is mostly about getting you the scene experience you need to nail journeys consistently and confidently.  We're now diving in deep, and getting way more improv practice than ever before.

Fundamentals 2 is special in that the lessons get tighter, and the scene practice is maximised.  You start with a lesson session, then after a quick break (as long as you're signed up for the Workout sessions as well), you get a special session just to do scenes, with both your fellow classmates and other Improv Connection players with a multitude of experience, in smaller groups – more scenes, with more experienced players.

In addition to deepening your learning with more emotional expansion and scene skills, you'll learn

• Our ABC method – a structure to assure your scene gets off on the right foot, and builds equitably and joyfully

• World building – object work that will inspire you as much as any word can do

• Silent scenes

• Rapid-fire dialogue techniques

Note: As this course is longer, and requires hiring an additional teacher for the evening, the course fees are set higher accordingly. That said, accessibility is a core value of Improv Connection, so let us know if you are in need of a course fee adjustment during regristration. Those who pay more make scholarships possible.
